Finance Analyst – Payments Finance

About the role

Amazon is looking for a Finance Analyst to support its Mexico Payments business. The analyst will own financial planning, forecasting and controllership activities, building P&L models and delivering insights that drive payment performance and cost optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain P&L models for payment products and programs across the MX Payments portfolio.
• Support monthly and quarterly planning cycles with forecasts, variance analyses and month‑end close activities.
• Partner with Product, Risk, Accounting, BizOps and Compliance teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment on financial goals.
• Develop and maintain reports and processes to enhance finance controllership and compliance.
• Conduct strategic analysis to identify cost‑optimization and revenue‑growth opportunities.
• Identify and drive automation initiatives to improve finance tools and reporting efficiency.
• Prepare commentary and analyses on key financial drivers for senior management.
• Perform ad‑hoc financial analyses as required.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (within 12 months) with a degree in Finance, Engineering or Accounting.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with large data sets.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment.
