Finance Business Partner

About the role

DiDi Global Inc. is seeking a data‑driven Finance Business Partner to serve as the financial navigator for key stakeholder teams, primarily Marketing, PR and related functions. This strategic partnership role goes beyond traditional accounting, embedding within business units to ensure every dollar spent aligns with corporate objectives and drives measurable impact.

Key responsibilities

• Establish structured communication routines with department heads to understand workflows, objectives and resource needs.
• Act as a “Critical Friend” by reviewing campaign, software and operational investment proposals, challenging assumptions and stress‑testing ROI projections.
• Map partner department workflows to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Monitor departmental spend at a granular level (by project, vendor and category) ensuring data integrity and correct cost allocation.
• Lead monthly rolling forecasts for partner teams, adjusting projections dynamically based on actuals.
• Prepare executive financial reports that highlight key insights and risks.
• Leverage AI tools to automate routine finance tasks, uncover deeper data insights and improve decision‑making speed.

Required profile

• Analytical and detail‑oriented with a strong business acumen.
• Comfortable asking hard questions and challenging proposals.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships across functions while maintaining independence.
• Experience partnering with Marketing, PR or similar commercial teams.
• Proactive mindset toward process improvement and technology adoption.
