Finance Director

About the role

The Finance Director will join the senior leadership team of a DHL business unit, overseeing commercial and financial performance. This executive‑level role carries full P&L responsibility and provides strategic financial guidance to operational leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the financial management of the business unit, ensuring profitability and cost control.
• Provide both financial and non‑financial advice to senior operational and functional leaders.
• Develop and execute strategy, allocating resources to meet business objectives.
• Oversee a portfolio of remote sites with unique commercial agreements, aligning operations and support functions toward financial success.
• Maintain and grow internal and external relationships, negotiating commercial terms and conditions.
• Foster development of core business competencies within the unit’s team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance or accounting; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
• Proven success in financial management and commercial negotiation.
• Ability to lead large, diverse teams both directly and indirectly.
• Strong commercial acumen, self‑motivation and results‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills.
