Finance Director

About the role

The Finance Director leads the financial management and controllership of Kipling School, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and alignment with strategic priorities. Reporting to the School Leadership Team, the role provides high‑quality financial insights to support decision‑making and long‑term sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close, produce management accounts, financial statements and performance reports.
• Oversee statutory accounts in compliance with local GAAP, IFRS and Group policies.
• Manage internal and external audit processes, including planning, documentation and follow‑up.
• Maintain and strengthen financial and compliance controls to reduce risk.
• Prepare and lead budgeting, forecasting and multi‑year financial planning.
• Analyse performance against budget, identify risks and opportunities, and advise leadership.
• Oversee cash‑flow planning, working‑capital management and liquidity.
• Drive cost‑optimization, vendor and contract management, and tax compliance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial management, reporting and controllership.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP and Group financial standards.
• Proven ability to lead audit processes and implement robust internal controls.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
• Effective communication with senior leadership and regional finance teams.
