Financial Analyst – Finance Governance (Mexico)

About the role

The Financial Analyst will strengthen the Finance Governance function within Mexico Controllership, ensuring compliance with local regulations and supporting audit activities. Working closely with Finance, business lines, senior leadership, auditors and regulators, the role safeguards the control framework and drives operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor new regulatory requirements in Mexico and assess monthly changes to reporting, submissions and financial presentation (e.g., INEGI, LGSM, NIF, other regulators).
• Support the Manager Governance in evaluating and incorporating recommendations from internal audit, external auditors and regulators into internal controls.
• Prepare financial statement disclosures in accordance with local GAAP.
• Oversee testing and monitoring of spreadsheet controls, manage quarterly certification and conduct annual testing of high‑risk spreadsheet controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting.
• Accounting/finance designation preferred (CA, CPA, CGA).
• Bank accounting knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAP (NIF) and IFRS is advantageous.
• 2‑3 years of audit experience.
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve productivity, automate tasks, enhance data analysis and support decision‑making; familiarity with generative AI solutions is a strong advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
