Financial Analyst – Mexico City

About the role

Springer Nature is seeking a Financial Analyst to support expense analysis, budgeting and forecasting for its Mexico City entity. The role will work closely with the Finance Manager, Coordinator and UK finance team to ensure accurate monthly reporting and alignment with group financial expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly expense reports by cost centre and area.
• Perform risk and operational analysis on expenses versus budget/forecast.
• Review variances with relevant areas and provide feedback to finance leadership.
• Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Submit monthly expense information to the UK entity finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (in progress or completed).
• At least 1 year of experience as a Financial Analyst in any industry.
• Intermediate English (B1) – ability to join UK meetings and handle email correspondence.
• Comfortable working under high workloads, often until 7–8 pm.
• Residence within a one‑hour commute to Mexico City.

Required skills

• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas).
• Familiarity with macros (Excel).
• Knowledge of Power BI.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Contpaq, SAP or Oracle.
