Financial Controller (Cancún)

About the role

The Controller will lead financial management for AbastoHotel in Cancún, overseeing accounting, reporting and compliance to support the company’s growth in the hospitality supply market.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting operations and ensure accurate journal entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow and financial performance, providing analysis to senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and local financial laws.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement internal control procedures.
• Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures and ERP workflows.
• Collaborate with operations to validate inventory valuation and optimize purchasing decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional certification (CPA or equivalent) is an asset.
• Proven experience in financial accounting, budgeting, reporting and internal controls within a commercial or hospitality environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Fluent in Spanish; English proficiency beneficial.
• High integrity, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
