FMEA Moderator (Temporary)

About the role

HARMAN Automotive is seeking a temporary FMEA Moderator to lead PFMEA and Control Plan activities across multidisciplinary teams. The role focuses on applying proper PFMEA methodology, coordinating risk‑reduction reviews, and driving continuous improvement in automotive product development.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and facilitate PFMEA & Control Plan meetings with cross‑functional teams.
• Review high‑risk failure modes, recommend corrective actions, and track implementation.
• Document changes in PFMEA & CP based on customer complaints, MCRs, ICMs, etc.
• Coordinate PFMEA revisions ensuring all functional areas review the documents.
• Lead risk‑reduction reviews for GM (monthly) and Stellantis (bimonthly) and annual reverse PFMEA & Control Plan for series production.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and approve risk analyses related to temporary deviations.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Minimum 2 years experience in an industrial product manufacturing environment.
• Advanced English proficiency (reading, writing, presentation).
• Strong organizational, moderation and conflict‑mitigation abilities.

Required skills

• FMEA methodology (AIAG 4th Edition, AIAG & VDA 1st Edition).
• Control Plan knowledge (AIAG 1st Edition) and special characteristics.
• Quality systems standards: ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016.
• Familiarity with customer‑specific requirements (Stellantis, GM, Ford, BMW, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia).
• Proficiency with APIS and Teamcenter software.
• Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
