Freelance Game QA Tester – Mexico City

About the role

TransPerfect Games is seeking freelance game QA testers to work on a variety of titles, from indie projects to AAA releases. The role is based in Mexico City and requires on‑site presence during core business hours. Testers will help ensure game quality by finding bugs, documenting issues, and providing feedback to improve gameplay.

Key responsibilities

• Execute test plans and test cases, suggesting improvements where needed.
• Document bugs with clear reproduction steps, crash dumps, call stacks, and video captures.
• Use test and automation tools, as well as black‑box and grey‑box testing techniques.
• Collaborate with test engineers, leads, and partner teams to analyze results.
• Perform basic configuration and setup on PC, consoles, or mobile devices.
• Provide constructive feedback on gameplay, fun factor, and game balance.

Required profile

• Passion for video games and a relentless mindset to break them.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Team‑player attitude with a positive, fast‑paced work ethic.
• Legal right to work in Mexico and ability to commute to Mexico City.

Required skills

• Experience with bug tracking systems such as ADO, JIRA, Bugzilla.
• Familiarity with testing tools like Fiddler and NetMon.
