General Accountant – Corporate Finance

About the role

The General Accountant supports daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role collaborates with internal teams to maintain the integrity of financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, and adjustments.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy in line with US GAAP/IFRS and company policies.
• Assist with SOX controls, internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies within accounting operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience in a corporate or shared‑services environment.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SOX controls and audit support is a plus.
• Advanced English level (written and verbal) preferred.
