General Manager – Luxury Wellness Resort

About the role

The General Manager will lead SHA Mexico, a flagship luxury wellness resort in Cancun, overseeing all aspects of operations, guest experience and financial performance. This senior leader will combine strategic vision with hands‑on management to uphold world‑class standards and the brand’s core values.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage all operational departments, ensuring excellence in luxury service, wellness programs and guest journey.
• Drive a visible, hands‑on leadership style, fostering a high‑performing culture aligned with AB Living Group’s values.
• Build, develop and retain a senior leadership team capable of delivering strategic and operational results.
• Oversee budgeting, revenue management, cost control and key performance indicators.
• Act as the public face of the property, engaging with VIP guests, stakeholders and media.
• Lead innovation and continuous‑improvement initiatives to keep the resort at the forefront of luxury wellness hospitality.
• Ensure compliance with legal, safety, health, environmental and operational standards.
• Manage capital expenditure planning and protect assets to sustain long‑term property value.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, Business Administration or related field; advanced studies an advantage.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in luxury hospitality, including 3‑5 years as General Manager or Director of Operations.
• Proven expertise across Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Finance and Commercial functions.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages a plus.
• Experience with international ultra‑luxury brands and multicultural environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management systems and operational software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
