General Manager – Mexico

About the role

Sardine is expanding rapidly in Mexico and needs a seasoned leader to own market strategy, revenue growth and customer success. Reporting to the Global Head of Expansion, the General Manager will shape the go‑to‑market approach, build strategic banking and payment network relationships, and act as the voice of Mexican customers across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and prioritize Mexico market entry and expansion based on regulatory readiness, fraud landscape and addressable market size.
• Partner with regional Sales, Marketing, Product and Account Management to develop market‑specific strategies and operational playbooks.
• Own ARR and new‑logo targets, drive pipeline execution and hold accountability for market‑level revenue attainment.
• Influence regional GTM strategy, leveraging Sardine’s Sonar consortium network as a differentiator.
• Develop strategic relationships with Mexican banks, payment networks (e.g., SPEI, CoDi) and system integrators to accelerate distribution.
• Collaborate with Account Management on enterprise accounts, executive business reviews and expansion opportunities.

Required profile

• 8+ years in GTM, general management or leadership roles within fintech, payments or fraud/risk technology, with direct exposure to the Mexican market.
• Established network of relationships with banks, payment networks, regulators and system integrators in Mexico.
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth and building go‑to‑market strategy in a new or scaling market.
• Deep understanding of Mexico’s regulatory, compliance and fraud landscape.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; willingness to travel within the region as needed.
