General Superintendent – Data Center Construction

About the role

The General Superintendent at Megawatt Construction leads the delivery of large‑scale, fast‑track data‑center and data‑hall fit‑out projects. This senior leader ensures that all phases—from base building concrete to commissioning—are executed on schedule, within strict uptime and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee multiple data‑center fit‑out projects simultaneously, managing schedules, logistics and on‑site execution.
• Mentor Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents and Foremen, providing structured training and development.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, architects and commissioning agents to guarantee high‑quality installations.
• Lead design‑build phases, respond to RFPs and develop detailed schedule/logistics plans for live or near‑live environments.
• Conduct daily site walks focused on quality, sequencing and uptime protection, and regular safety walks emphasizing energized systems.
• Manage project closeout, commissioning and turnover documentation to ensure precise handover.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in data‑center, mission‑critical and fast‑track interior construction.
• Proven ability to lead large, high‑risk projects and build high‑performing field teams.
• Strong communication skills to act as primary client contact and to drive business development.
• Demonstrated mentorship experience for field leadership.
