About the role

The Senior Manager of Logistics Procurement and Strategy leads the enterprise-wide logistics sourcing function, shaping category strategies for transportation, warehousing, drayage, ocean freight, LTL, and related services. Reporting to the Senior Director of Network Design and Optimization, the role partners with logistics operations, finance, legal, IT, and senior business leaders to translate network design needs and market dynamics into cost‑effective, resilient sourcing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute logistics procurement strategies across multiple categories, aligning with business priorities and network design.
• Lead complex sourcing events, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management initiatives.
• Provide decision‑ready insights and executive reporting on cost, service, capacity, and risk metrics.
• Manage a team of analysts, set priorities, monitor performance, and build cross‑functional execution capability.
• Ensure compliance with procurement governance, spend analytics, and commercial contract review processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or logistics, including at least 3 years leading major sourcing events.
• Proven people‑leadership experience with ability to develop teams and drive accountability.
• Fluent English; Spanish proficiency preferred.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Transportation Management System (TMS) platforms.
• Use of sourcing tools and spend analytics software.
• Deep knowledge of carrier and 3PL management, contracting, and bid optimization.
