Head of Controlling

About the role

Chrono24, the leading online marketplace for luxury watches, is seeking a Head of Controlling to shape and elevate its financial steering across a growing international group. You will lead the Controlling function, linking finance, accounting and data to drive actionable business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and continuously improve the Group’s Controlling setup, budgeting, forecasting and cost‑revenue frameworks.
• Produce clear, regular investor reporting and ensure reliable actual‑vs‑plan reviews.
• Collaborate closely with the CFO, Director Data, business units and finance teams to guarantee robust and transparent steering logic.
• Partner with the Data Analytics team to automate reporting and enhance data‑driven insights.
• Lead, develop and motivate the Controlling team, fostering a high‑performance environment.
• Challenge assumptions, connect financial and operational KPIs, and turn figures into strategic recommendations.

Required profile

• Several years of Controlling experience, preferably in a fast‑growing international business group.
• First leadership experience with a strong interest in people development.
• Analytical, structured mindset capable of handling complex situations.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English, both spoken and written.
• Hands‑on, proactive attitude with a critical view of existing processes.
