Head of Finance – Mexico

About the role

We are a fast‑growing Series B technology startup with over $100M in annual revenue, looking for a strategic and hands‑on Head of Finance for our Mexico operations. Reporting to the CFO and partnering closely with the General Manager of Mexico, you will drive financial performance, compliance, and long‑term sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Prepare, monitor and update budgets, forecasts and financial projections.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and overall financial performance.
• Oversee accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Mexican standards.
• Deliver timely financial reports to local and regional management.
• Supervise tax filing and ensure adherence to Mexican tax obligations.
• Analyze business performance, identify risks, opportunities and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Partner with business leaders to evaluate new projects and investments.
• Maintain internal controls, implement financial policies and manage relationships with auditors, tax consultants and financial institutions.

Required profile

• Experienced finance leader with a strategic mindset and hands‑on approach.
• Deep knowledge of Mexican accounting standards, tax frameworks and local regulations.
• Proven ability to act as a trusted partner to senior leadership and support data‑driven decisions.
• Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; MBA or postgraduate studies preferred.
• Prior senior finance leadership experience, preferably in fast‑moving, high‑growth environments.
