Head of Law Department

About the role

The Head of Law Department will lead the company's legal function, ensuring compliance and providing strategic legal guidance across all business units. Reporting to senior management, this role is responsible for safeguarding the organization’s interests in a multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the internal legal team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including procurement, customs, foreign trade and litigation‑related agreements.
• Oversee external counsel and service providers for litigation, compliance, labor matters and collective bargaining.
• Monitor legal developments, assess business impact, and advise senior leadership on risk‑aligned decisions.
• Ensure adherence to integrity, compliance and ethical standards throughout the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in a multinational company, with proven leadership of legal teams.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical abilities and solid understanding of contract principles.
• General knowledge of foreign trade concepts and Mexican labor law and social security matters.
