HRIS, Payroll & Digitalization Trainee

About the role

The HRIS, Payroll & Digitalization Trainee supports HR Operations and Payroll teams across BMW Group Mexico and the LATAM region. You will assist with end‑to‑end payroll processing, benefits coordination, and the testing and rollout of HR digital initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and validate recurring payroll processing, data entries, and reconciliation tasks in line with internal policies and local compliance.
• Coordinate and execute employee benefits programs.
• Support HR digital transformation projects through system testing, configuration assistance, data migrations, and reporting of technical issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation for HR operational controls, process updates, and SOPs to ensure audit readiness.
• Generate month‑end and ad‑hoc payroll, benefits, and HRIS metrics reports while safeguarding data integrity and confidentiality.
• Identify and propose process‑optimization opportunities to automate routine tasks and improve system performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience in payroll support, HR operations, HRIS maintenance or finance operations (including internships or academic projects).
• Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish.
• High attention to detail, strong problem‑solving abilities and a process‑oriented mindset.
• Commitment to data privacy and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Familiarity with HRIS/payroll platforms.
