Inbound Logistics Planner

About the role

The Inbound Logistics Planner supports ZF’s Global Supply Chain for the Electronics and ADAS business in Monterrey. You will work closely with manufacturing sites, suppliers, and launch teams to ensure material availability, inventory health, and supplier visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels to meet monthly targets and collaborate with suppliers to reduce excess or obsolete stock.
• Identify and investigate call‑off volume variations together with site planners.
• Align site MRP planning parameters with corporate directives and coordinate MRP reset activities for key suppliers.
• Ensure call‑offs are visible to suppliers via EDI or supplier web portals.
• Monitor phase‑in and phase‑out component call‑offs to avoid shortages and obsolescence.
• Support launch programs by providing at least 12 months of visibility in ERP.
• Coordinate special supply‑chain projects such as spot purchase orders, dual sourcing, and last‑time buys.
• Act as the primary contact for shortages, recovery plans, supplier escalations, and cost‑recovery follow‑up.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a Supply Chain Specialist or in a similar logistics, materials planning, or inventory role, preferably in automotive or automotive electronics.
• Experience planning logistics with international suppliers, especially in Asia and Europe.
• Proficient knowledge of SAP MRP and ERP planning processes.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Effective written and spoken English communication.
