Indirect Purchasing Buyer

About the role

The Indirect Purchasing Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers of equipment, spare parts, and services that support distribution, conditioning systems, material handling, storage, sprinkler networks, environmental management, and recycling. The role focuses on cost effectiveness, sustainability, and supporting capital and maintenance projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories.
• Manage procurement of equipment, spares, and maintenance services.
• Lead RFQs, supplier negotiations, contract management, and commercial evaluations.
• Analyze spend, market trends, and supplier capabilities to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Partner with maintenance teams to evaluate technical specifications and supplier proposals.
• Support capital‑expenditure projects and ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks while maintaining business continuity.
• Utilize ERP and procurement systems for planning, purchasing, reporting, and performance management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, SCM, Engineering or a related business field.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• 6+ years of experience in purchasing, plant maintenance operations, or engineering.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
