Industrial Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Industrial Maintenance Technician will be based on‑site in Chihuahua, Mexico, providing preventive and corrective maintenance for a variety of industrial machinery and facility equipment. Working closely with supervisors, engineers and client representatives, the technician ensures reliable operation of packaging lines, conveyors, HVAC and cooling systems while supporting new equipment installations and safety initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical, electrical and pneumatic components of industrial equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs for packaging lines, conveyors, HVAC units and industrial cooling systems.
• Document all maintenance activities in accordance with company and client standards.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and testing of new machinery and system upgrades.
• Support industrial safety projects and collaborate with project teams on special on‑site implementations.
• Provide technical assistance to client personnel and respond to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime.

Required profile

• Technical education (vocational training, technical diploma) in industrial maintenance, mechatronics or a related field.
• Proven experience in industrial or commercial environments, preferably in manufacturing, logistics or food & beverage.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, attention to detail and capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced setting.
• Willingness to work on‑site, including occasional overtime or shift work.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting; familiarity with CMMS is a plus.
