Information Security Engineer – Cloud Security

About the role

Mastercard’s Cloud Security team is seeking an Information Security Engineer II to design and implement cloud‑native and cloud‑agnostic security solutions. The role supports secure deployment of Mastercard applications and services, aligning with the company’s cloud security strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate technologies, develop business cases, define test cases, and select vendors based on industry standards.
• Design, test, and implement security solutions that meet regulatory and security requirements for cloud environments.
• Collaborate with senior cloud security engineers, development, and operations teams to embed security best practices into application design.
• Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders such as business owners, project managers, engineers, and leaders.
• Conduct security analysis of application architectures and cloud services.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience, preferably with exposure to AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong understanding of information security fundamentals, risk management, and data privacy, especially in fintech.
• Knowledge of networking, firewalls, and application security principles.
• Familiarity with identity management, user authentication, and authorization concepts.
• Ability to work independently, showing initiative and autonomy in managing projects.
