Information Technology Specialist – Main Library

About the role
The Information Technology Specialist provides day‑to‑day technical support for the staff of the Main Library. Working under the supervision of the Information Technology Manager, the specialist ensures that all computer systems operate smoothly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade hardware components such as desktops, laptops, printers, and networking equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive servicing of all IT assets.
- Diagnose and resolve user‑reported issues, providing timely consultation and problem‑resolution.
- Document completed work and participate in periodic performance reviews.
Required profile
- Strong interest in supporting end‑users within a library environment.
- Ability to work independently while following guidance from the IT Manager.
- Good communication skills for interacting with staff of varying technical backgrounds.
