Information Technology Support Specialist

About the role

The Information Technology Support Specialist provides technical assistance for software, hardware, and network issues to all Sherman College employees and students. Working under general supervision, the specialist ensures timely resolution of requests and contributes to the smooth operation of the college’s IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking IT assistance.
• Diagnose and resolve workstation, network connectivity, and printing problems.
• Document and track incidents from reporting to resolution, enhancing the internal knowledge base.
• Provide personalized training sessions on software and hardware tools.
• Conduct regular inventories of hardware and software assets.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio/visual equipment for events.
• Image PCs using Microsoft Deployment Workbench and integrate them into Active Directory.
• Administer the JAMF mobile device management platform for iPads.
• Maintain and update Digital Signage for the college.
• Participate in Showcase Sherman events and the annual Lyceum program.
• Adapt to overtime and weekend schedules as needed.

Required profile

• Exceptional customer service orientation.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Apple iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices.
• Basic understanding of audio/visual hardware.
