About the role
Brose Group is seeking an Acoustic Engineer to support production acoustic performance across its manufacturing sites. The role combines statistical monitoring, failure analysis, and technology improvement to ensure acoustic quality meets both internal standards and customer specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Perform cyclical monitoring of production acoustic performance using statistical tools and optimise evaluation processes.
- Analyse failures of acoustic equipment or machines and follow defined escalation procedures.
- Support the improvement of acoustic measurement technology, including assembly and adaptation activities.
- Establish testing limits according to approved process descriptions and optimise acoustic characteristics on test benches.
- Correlate customer acoustic specifications with in‑line production testing using statistical methods such as Pareto analysis.
- Provide technical support to Quality and plant Technical functions for acoustic quality issues.
- Collaborate with the Environmental Management System according to the roles‑and‑responsibilities matrix.
Required profile
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macros) with solid data‑analysis experience.
- Hands‑on experience with laboratory measurements, technical drawings, electrical circuit diagrams and signal analysis.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies.
- Familiarity with acoustic sensors (magnetic and immersion) and actuators.
- Experience with test equipment, validation systems and, optionally, assembly systems.
- Understanding of acoustic and vibration testing methodologies.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
