About the role

Orion Innovation is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and maintain modern continuous‑delivery architectures on AWS. You will ensure that applications are scalable, secure, and highly available by leveraging Kubernetes (EKS) and best‑in‑class DevOps practices.

Key responsibilities

Design and optimise CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions from commit to production.
Administer Amazon EKS clusters, including auto‑scaling with HPA, VPA and Karpenter.
Manage Docker images in Amazon ECR, handling versioning, security and lifecycle policies.
Configure CloudFront, Route 53 and S3 for efficient global content distribution.
Provision infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Implement observability with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog.
Apply security best practices using IAM, VPCs, Secrets Manager, KMS and IRSA.

Required profile

Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years in DevOps, SRE, SysOps or Cloud roles.
Minimum 2 years working with Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS.
Advanced experience with GitHub Actions and AWS services such as CloudFront and S3.

Required skills

Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps (ArgoCD or Flux).
AWS: EKS, ECR, ECS, Fargate, CloudFront, Route 53, ALB/NLB, IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS, S3.
IaC: Terraform (modules, remote state) and CloudFormation.
Scripting: Bash, Python, Go or Node.js.
Monitoring: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog.
Auto‑scaling: HPA, VPA, Karpenter.
