About the role
We are seeking a Senior AWS Platform Engineer to join our IT team supporting Cummins in Guadalajara. The role blends automation, operational support, and cloud architecture to help product teams leverage AWS services efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Design, automate, and deploy AWS infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, and GitHub‑based CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop reusable IaC modules and workflows to standardize deployments across the organization.
- Provide L2‑L3 operational support, conduct root‑cause analysis, and improve incident response processes.
- Configure observability tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, CloudWatch, X‑Ray, Prometheus, Grafana) and build monitoring dashboards.
- Design and maintain AWS networking (VPC, subnets, NACLs, security groups, Transit Gateway, Route 53) and security controls (IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, GuardDuty, Security Hub).
- Monitor and optimize cloud spend using AWS Budgets, Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, and cost‑optimization platforms.
- Support container workloads on ECS, Fargate, EKS, Docker, and Helm, and implement scalable deployment patterns.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with AWS services and cloud automation.
- Strong background in infrastructure‑as‑code and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud issues across compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Experience working in a distributed, multi‑regional team.
