Internal Auditor

About the role

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join its Group Internal Audit (GIA) team in Guadalajara. You will provide independent, objective assurance and advisory services, helping to strengthen governance, risk management, and internal controls across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute internal audit engagements, covering planning, fieldwork, reporting and follow‑up.
• Perform risk assessments to focus audit scope on key risks and controls.
• Gather, analyse and document audit evidence, validate observations and recommend improvements.
• Contribute to risk‑based audit planning, identify emerging risks and update the audit universe.
• Ensure audit work complies with Global Internal Audit Standards and GIA methodology.
• Conduct data‑analytics procedures, extract data from ERP systems, and produce dashboards and exception reports.
• Mentor junior auditors and share knowledge within the GIA team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk management and internal control frameworks.
• Ability to communicate audit findings clearly and work collaboratively with management.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement.
