Internal Auditor – Quality Systems

About the role

HARMAN is seeking a proactive Internal Auditor to lead quality system audits at its Queretaro automotive facility. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with international standards, customer‑specific requirements, and internal procedures while driving continuous improvement across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, lead and execute internal audits covering ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA and customer‑specific standards.
• Support preparation for external certification audits and ensure readiness for ISO 9001/IATF 16949 assessments.
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports and communicate findings to auditees and management.
• Track corrective and preventive actions, verify implementation, and close audit findings.
• Measure audit performance indicators, analyse data and recommend improvements to the quality management system.
• Validate containment and systemic corrective actions for non‑conformances.
• Conduct conformity tests against global BMS documentation and manage Layer Process Audits (LPA).

Required profile

• Strong understanding of quality management systems and audit methodologies.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet audit schedules.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting and stakeholder interaction.
• Experience in the automotive sector or similar regulated environment is preferred.
