International Operations Agent I

About the role

The International Operations Agent I supports the Operations Manager in managing inbound and outbound international freight forwarding shipments to the USA and Mexico. The role focuses on providing high‑quality customer service while handling quoting, routing, tracking, and problem‑solving for air and ocean shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Qualify customer shipping requirements and gather all necessary documentation and regulatory information.
• Prepare accurate, profitable quotations and set shipping schedules.
• Communicate with customers, carriers, ports, and internal teams to verify loading, departures, and arrivals.
• Track shipments, identify deviations, and coordinate recovery or delivery schedules with cartage agents and international partners.
• Enter shipment data, manage billing, and ensure shipments are billed according to company guidelines.
• Resolve delays, damages, or other issues and keep customers informed.
• Support local sales teams and global offices on air and ocean export matters.
• Ensure compliance with customer SOPs, AIT KPIs, and operational guidelines.
