IT Data Engineer II

About the role

The IT Data Engineer II will design, build and optimise data pipelines and support data‑warehousing initiatives within an analytics environment. The role focuses on SQL development, ETL processes and the implementation of data‑governance standards while collaborating with business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise SQL‑based data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Develop and maintain data‑warehousing solutions using star‑schema, Kimball or Snowflake methodologies.
• Write and optimise SQL queries and calculations for data‑visualisation tools.
• Enforce data‑governance policies and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Build, deploy and support dashboards that communicate data insights.
• Participate in cloud cost‑optimisation and resource‑efficiency initiatives.
• Contribute to data‑architecture design and support data‑streaming projects.
• Assist with basic data‑pipeline orchestration and integration of big‑data technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in data engineering or related field.
• Proactive attitude, strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse data‑architecture needs and propose improvements.
