IT HelpDesk Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an IT HelpDesk Engineer to join the Corporate IT department of Netcracker, a leading telecom software provider. The role involves delivering on‑site and remote technical support for desktops, peripherals and network services, ensuring minimal disruption for users across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide proactive maintenance and rapid response to IT incidents to keep user productivity high.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, operating system (Windows 11), software and networking issues both on‑site and via Remote Desktop Protocol.
• Install, upgrade, format and reinstall operating systems and applications on PCs.
• Manage inventory of hardware and replace end‑of‑life equipment.
• Document incidents and solutions in the ticketing system.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in a HelpDesk or desktop support role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a customer‑focused attitude.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and obtain relevant certifications.

• Windows 11 operating system.
• Microsoft Active Directory and Office suite.
• Fundamental networking concepts.
• Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) support.
• PC hardware troubleshooting and OS installation.
• Inventory management.
• Optional certifications: ITIL, CompTIA.
