IT Support Engineer – End User & Infrastructure

About the role

The IT Support Engineer will join Volex de México’s IT Department to provide comprehensive technical assistance across end‑user devices, network infrastructure, and system administration. This role ensures the reliability and security of the plant’s digital environment as the company expands into automotive harnesses and connectors.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, printers, scanners, and workstations.
• Provide technical assistance and training to end users.
• Install and update operating systems, software applications, and security patches.
• Manage user accounts, printers, shared resources, and system access via Active Directory.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and firewall issues.
• Support implementation, replacement, and maintenance of LAN/WAN equipment, switches, routers, and VPNs.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and ensure server room compliance.
• Analyze incidents, recommend corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, compliance, or security operations.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and customer‑service orientation.
• Fluent English communication skills.
