IT Support Specialist – Late Shift (Remote)

About the role

The IT Support Specialist will work under the VP of Technology and the IT Operations Manager to keep day‑to‑day IT operations running smoothly for a fully remote, growing organization. This hands‑on position focuses on enabling employees to stay productive and delivering a great support experience to end users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for internal IT issues (hardware, software, access, connectivity) and manage tickets from creation to resolution.
• Order, provision, configure, and deploy laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices; manage software installations, updates, licenses, and user access.
• Support the full user lifecycle – onboarding, off‑boarding, and role changes – including account creation, device setup, and Day 1 readiness.
• Coordinate with vendors for routine communications, issue resolution, and escalations.
• Write and maintain IT documentation, troubleshooting guides, SOPs, and knowledge‑base articles.
• Follow security policies, support device maintenance, access controls, and assist with compliance‑related tasks.
• Perform occasional travel (<5%) as needed.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or IT operations.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with clear communication skills for non‑technical users.
