IT Support Technician I

About the role

The IT Support Technician I provides first‑line technical assistance to end‑users across the organization. You will install, configure, and maintain PCs, peripherals, and software while ensuring compliance with security and service‑level policies.

Key responsibilities

• Load, verify, and deploy software packages using Ghost imaging.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot PCs, monitors, keyboards, printers, scanners (MES/SAP RF) and audio‑visual equipment.
• Administer user accounts via Bind View and Active Directory.
• Manage PBX phone provisioning and re‑enablement.
• Monitor the Service Desk queue, resolve tickets, and populate the knowledge and configuration management databases.
• Purchase hardware and software through the purchase‑order process.
• Maintain inventory of computer parts and document all repairs.
• Support off‑site users via phone and ensure adherence to ISS security policies.

Required profile

• Entry‑level or early‑career professional with a strong customer‑service mindset.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and meet SLA/KPI targets.
• Willingness to contribute ideas for process improvement and cost reduction.

Required skills

• PC hardware installation and peripheral configuration.
• Ghost imaging for OS deployment.
• Scanner troubleshooting (MES/SAP RF).
• PBX administration.
• Bind View and Active Directory user management.
• ITIL knowledge and experience with Service Desk ticketing systems.
• Hardware repair (monitors, keyboards, printers, disk drives).
• Audio‑visual equipment support.
