JavaScript Software Engineer – React & Next.js

About the role

EPAM is looking for a JavaScript Software Engineer who is passionate about building rich, responsive web and hybrid‑mobile applications. You will work with modern JavaScript/TypeScript, React and Next.js to create fast, SEO‑friendly, mobile‑first user interfaces for global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑performance, responsive web applications using React and Next.js, leveraging SSR, SSG and API routes.
• Implement pixel‑perfect, mobile‑first designs that work seamlessly across iOS and Android browsers.
• Manage complex client‑side state and integrate with RESTful or GraphQL back‑ends.
• Profile and optimise applications for Core Web Vitals, loading speed and smooth rendering on low‑powered devices.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable JavaScript/TypeScript code and contribute to a shared UI component library.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and collaborate with backend engineers, UX designers and product owners.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in modern web development focused on user‑facing features.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript and React.
• Proficiency with the Next.js framework, including App Router or Pages Router.
• Experience optimizing web apps for mobile browsers and PWAs.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
