Jr. Field Commissioning Engineer

About the role

Güdel, the Mexican office of Grupo Güdel, designs and supplies automation and robotics solutions for industries such as automotive, aeronautics, logistics and heavy industry. The Junior Field Commissioning Engineer will install, start‑up and support automation equipment at customer sites, ensuring reliable operation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test, launch and monitor automation equipment for the customer base.
• Troubleshoot, repair, reprogram and maintain production performance of installed systems.
• Perform startups, commissioning and on‑site technical support, reducing downtime.
• Supervise electrical installations and carry out preventive maintenance.
• Document procedures, service reports and provide internal and customer training.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Controls or Automation Engineering.
• 1‑2+ years of experience in industrial automation field service or capital equipment integration.
• Professional English proficiency and ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Strong ethics, integrity and a proactive, results‑driven attitude.

Required skills

• PLC programming and configuration (ABB, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, FANUC, Omron, Siemens 840D, Yaskawa‑Motoman).
• HMI development and troubleshooting.
• Robotic motion‑control and servo system expertise.
• Microsoft Office 365 and PC‑based industrial automation software tools.
