Junior Accounting Analyst

About the role

IBM Finance & Operations is seeking a Junior Accounting Analyst to support operational accounting activities across the business. You will work with internal teams to collect, analyze, and report financial data while ensuring compliance with IBM Accounting Principles and corporate procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyze financial data from various internal parties.
• Prepare worksheets and reports for assigned accounting areas.
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy.
• Reconcile ledger and system account balances, addressing variances.
• Implement process changes in line with updated accounting instructions.
• Provide data and support for internal and external audits, including SOX testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Exposure to financial analysis and operational accounting tasks.
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and IBM-specific accounting guidelines.
• Experience maintaining general ledger records and performing reconciliations.
• Ability to support audit and compliance activities.
