Junior Engineer – Design & Innovation

About the role

KONE is seeking a Junior Engineer to join its Mexico team in Torreón. You will work on designing and improving elevator, escalator and building‑door solutions, collaborating with cross‑functional teams in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create technical design proposals using appropriate tools and document them with drawings, electrical diagrams, calculations and product models.
• Verify and validate designs, develop concepts, mock‑ups and prototypes, and support their implementation.
• Maintain and update existing designs, executing corrective or preventive actions as needed.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint and quarterly planning, and collaborate with software and other engineering disciplines.
• Identify and report technical and schedule risks, and manage product data according to PDM/PLM guidelines.
• Continuously improve personal technical knowledge and share expertise with colleagues.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a drive for innovative solutions.
• Experience in technical design creation, documentation and validation.
• Knowledge of industry codes, standards and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with agile ways of working and ability to collaborate across teams.
