Junior Operations Coordinator

About the role

Business Plane Logistics, an international provider of time‑critical shipments, is seeking a motivated Junior Operations Coordinator. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will support the planning and execution of shipments while ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and plan optimal shipment routes, balancing cost, transit time and security.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Prepare quotes, negotiate with customers and secure contracts for transportation and handling.
• Gather, verify and prepare customs, insurance and packing documentation.
• Arrange air transport for urgent, high‑value freight and manage door‑to‑door risk.
• Act as a broker in customs negotiations worldwide.
• Handle special cargoes such as livestock, medical supplies and hand‑carry services.
• Maintain communication throughout the shipment lifecycle and produce management reports and cost analyses.
• Stay updated on legislation, political developments and other factors affecting freight movement.

Required profile

• Fluent English (minimum C1 level).
• High attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures.
• Strong planning, prioritisation and deadline‑management skills.
• Previous logistics experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
