Junior Software Engineer - Luxury

About the role

Lyft’s Luxury team creates premium ride‑sharing experiences for high‑end services such as Black and Black SUV. As a Junior Software Engineer you will contribute to building and scaling these features while working closely with product, data science, analytics, and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Help define roadmap and architecture aligned with customer needs.
• Write well‑crafted, well‑tested, readable and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge.
• Deliver brown‑bag sessions, tech talks and promote engineering best practices.
• Assist in leading large projects from concept to execution.
• Unblock and communicate with internal partners to achieve results.
• Design, build and improve a set of team‑owned components.

Required profile

• Experience in the engineering industry.
• Proficiency with object‑oriented programming.
• Familiarity with distributed systems.
• Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Ability to produce clear, scalable design documentation.
• Willingness to work regularly from the Mexico City office.
