Lawyer – Commercial & Procurement

About the role

We are looking for a Lawyer to provide legal support to the Procurement, Sales, Marketing and Accounting departments of Daimler Truck in Mexico. The role involves drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, assessing legal risks and helping to implement tools that improve the efficiency of the legal function.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate legal‑commercial documents, including contracts for specialized services and government sales.
• Prepare legal assessments to minimise commercial risk and support efficient operations.
• Assist the Senior Legal Manager on special commercial projects and coordinate with external law firms.
• Handle controversies such as payment defaults, contractual breaches and commercial disputes.
• Support internal and external audits involving the Legal Department.
• Participate in the contract management process and manage day‑to‑day commercial contracts.

Required profile

• Law degree.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican civil and commercial law, contractual law and legal drafting.
• Spanish at C1 level and English at B1 level.
• Effective communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities, decision‑making and conflict‑management skills.
