Legal Contracts Manager – Commercial Transactions

About the role

The Legal Contracts Manager will partner with Johnson Controls’ commercial transactions legal team to deliver legal services to internal clients across the United States and Canada. The role focuses on reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements while supporting channel‑sales distribution networks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the review, drafting and negotiation of sales, distribution, service, procurement and construction contracts in line with company policies.
• Provide transactional support and contract management for independent channel‑sales partners.
• Manage the contract review workflow tool to ensure timely processing.
• Conduct research and analysis to inform decision‑making and present concise synopses.

Required profile

• Law degree with a minimum of three years’ experience in commercial transactions for multinational organizations.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong oral and written communication, organization and analytical abilities.
• Process‑driven, detail‑oriented, self‑motivated and client‑service focused.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience creating and maintaining databases.
