Line Maintenance Technician – Plant Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a Line Maintenance Technician to join the Plant Engineering and Maintenance team at Harman Automotive. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability, safety and performance of production equipment used in automotive infotainment and safety systems.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment related to machinery installation and maintenance.
• Perform operating diagnostics, identify failures and execute preventive, corrective or predictive maintenance actions.
• Carry out uninstallation, disarming, dismantling and required equipment changes.
• Develop, program and execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
• Prepare requisitions for parts and materials and verify proper installation and calibration of equipment.
• Implement model‑change adjustments on machines, replenish adhesive materials and ensure minimal scrap.
• Perform welding and hand‑tool tasks when required, always using appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Comply with quality (IATF) and environmental (ISO 14000) management system requirements.
• Support quality and EHSS objectives, targets and programs as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Experience with PLC systems.
• Experience working with high and low voltage systems.
• Basic proficiency in English.
• Ability to read electrical and electronic schematics.
• Mechanical maintenance background.

Required skills

• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• High‑voltage and low‑voltage system handling.
• Electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagnostics.
• Mechanical repair and equipment adjustment.
• Welding and hand‑tool operation.
• Familiarity with IATF and ISO 14000 quality/environmental standards.
