Linux Systems Junior Administrator

About the role

As a Linux Systems Junior Administrator at Kyndryl, you will support, maintain and optimise Linux‑based operating systems in enterprise production environments. You will work hands‑on with servers, resolve incidents and contribute to the reliability and performance of critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, harden and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE) in production.
• Monitor system health, analyse logs and resolve incidents within defined service‑level agreements.
• Apply operating system patches, updates and perform basic automation to ensure availability and capacity.
• Document operational procedures and collaborate with database, middleware, cloud and storage teams.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance stability and performance.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of experience supporting Linux operating systems in an operational or production setting.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux server installation, configuration and routine maintenance.
• Proven ability to manage incidents, troubleshoot system and performance issues.
• Customer‑focused mindset with a strong sense of accountability and a desire to learn.
