Local Partnership Development Specialist – Tourism Network

About the role

The Local Partnership Development Specialist will expand our client’s network of independent tour guides and tourism stakeholders across Mexico. Working closely with management, you will source, evaluate, and onboard qualified guides while maintaining strong relationships with guide associations, universities, and tourism offices.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source qualified tour guides through directories, social media, referrals, guide marketplaces, and academic institutions.
• Build and nurture relationships with tourism departments, faculty, student groups, guide associations, and local tourism offices to create sustainable pipelines.
• Research prospective partners, verify backgrounds, certifications, language skills, customer reviews, and professional reputation.
• Conduct structured screening interviews to assess destination knowledge, storytelling ability, customer service, and operational readiness.
• Rank and maintain an organized pipeline of candidates, preparing profiles and shortlists for management review.
• Support partnership negotiations and onboarding activities to ensure consistent service quality.

Required profile

• Experience in business development, recruitment, partnership acquisition, or tourism operations.
• Strong communication, interviewing, and relationship‑building capabilities.
• Ability to conduct detailed research and evaluate candidates against defined criteria.
• Proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑growing environment.
