Local Partnership Development Specialist – Tourism Network

About the role

The Local Partnership Development Specialist will expand our tourism network across Mexico by identifying, evaluating, and onboarding high‑quality local tour guides. Working closely with management, you will build lasting relationships with guide associations, universities, and tourism stakeholders to ensure a consistent, authentic travel experience for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Source qualified tour guides through directories, social media, guide marketplaces, universities and referrals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with tourism departments, guide associations, faculty members and local tourism offices.
• Research prospective partners, verify credentials, certifications, language skills and customer reviews.
• Conduct structured screening interviews to assess destination knowledge, storytelling ability and operational readiness.
• Rank candidates against defined criteria, maintain an organized pipeline and prepare shortlists for management.
• Support partnership negotiations and coordinate onboarding activities.
• Gather market intelligence and provide regular updates on guide availability and trends.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, recruitment, partnership management or tourism operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented research and assessment capabilities.
• Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency preferred.
