Local Partnership Development Specialist – Tourism Network

About the role

The Local Partnership Development Specialist will expand our client’s network of qualified tour guides across Mexico. Working closely with senior management, you will identify, evaluate, and onboard local guides while building lasting relationships with tourism communities, guide associations, universities and other industry stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Source qualified tour guides through directories, social media, guide marketplaces, universities and referrals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with tourism departments, faculty, student groups, guide associations and local tourism offices to create sustainable pipelines.
• Research prospective partners, verify backgrounds, certifications, language skills, customer reviews and professional reputation.
• Conduct structured screening interviews to assess destination knowledge, storytelling ability, customer service and operational readiness.
• Rank and rank candidates against defined criteria, maintain an organized pipeline and prepare detailed profiles for management review.
• Support partnership negotiations and coordinate onboarding activities to ensure smooth integration of new guides.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, recruitment, partnership management or tourism operations.
• Strong communication and interview skills with the ability to evaluate professional competence.
• Demonstrated ability to build and nurture long‑term relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
