Logistics Analyst

About the role

The Logistics Analyst will support import operations and overall supply chain efficiency by identifying and implementing procedures that optimize logistics activities. The role works closely with internal teams such as Operations, Sales, Procurement and external partners including carriers and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• On‑board and monitor carriers, ensuring compliance, tracking shipments and providing expediting assistance across all transportation modes.
• Support inbound and outbound routing guides for domestic and international shipments, and train users on the Transportation Management System, freight quoting and pricing.
• Collaborate with procurement to onboard suppliers, monitor compliance, and manage expedite requests.
• Communicate with plant operations, buyers, suppliers and carriers to resolve issues and manage shipments.
• Drive operational excellence by identifying and executing process‑improvement projects that reduce cost and improve service speed and quality.
• Research and implement best practices across global logistics networks and assist with customer freight quotations.
• Provide backup support to the Logistics Department as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in logistics, supply chain management or a related discipline, preferably within a large manufacturing organization.
• Ability to travel when required.
• Strong communication, organizational and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for shipping processes and freight quoting.
