Logistics Coordinator – Weekend Shift

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator supports GlobalTranz’s client network by ensuring freight is delivered and picked up on time during weekend hours. This position works closely with multiple internal teams and external carriers to provide seamless, first‑class service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide multi‑level operational support for inbound and outbound shipments, handling phone calls, texts, and emails.
• Clarify load requirements with carriers and confirm drivers have accurate pickup and delivery information.
• Maintain constant communication with all stakeholders and update the GlobalTranz load management system.
• Prioritize load board activities to maximize departmental productivity and coverage.
• Assist the OS&D department by gathering detailed information to resolve shipment issues quickly.
• Follow GlobalTranz SOPs for client problem handling, escalating when necessary to maintain satisfaction.
• Serve as backup support for other department team members as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (additional education or experience considered).
• Experience in administrative support or customer service preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work with urgency and independently while contributing to a team.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience with telephony technologies.
• Basic computer and typing proficiency.
